Closeboard is the strongest timber fence you can put up, and it is the one we fit most. Rather than dropping in a ready-made panel, the fence is built on site: gravel board at the bottom, arris rails across, then featheredge boards nailed on one at a time with an overlap. Nothing to blow out of a slot in a gale.
It suits a boundary you want to stop looking at — full privacy, no gaps, and a run that follows a sloping garden properly instead of stepping down in awkward jumps. Done right it will outlast the fence next to it by years.

Common questions
Concrete posts or timber posts?
Concrete lasts longest — it doesn't rot at ground level, which is where timber posts almost always fail first. Timber looks warmer and suits some gardens better. We'll tell you honestly which we'd use on your run, and price both if you want to compare.
Can closeboard follow a slope?
Yes, and it's one of the main reasons to choose it. Because the fence is built on site rather than dropped in as panels, the run can rake with the ground instead of stepping down in blocks with gaps underneath.
